Introducing
Amy Levine, LCSW
Amy Levine is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina with significant training and experience in addressing the mental health needs of children, adolescents and families. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Washington University in St. Louis with honors and her Master's in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she specialized in Services to Families and Children.
While in graduate school, Amy was a North Carolina Child Welfare Collaborate Scholar and following graduation in 2002 accepted a job working with families and children in Chapel Hill. Since then, she has worked at the University of North Carolina's Department of Psychiatry with children, adolescents and families and as a psychotherapist at area mental health clinics. Amy also works in the adoptions field, helping families who are going through the process of adopting children and adjusting to their new family structure.
At Cary Counseling Center, Amy performs psychotherapy with children, adolescents, adults and families. Her specialties include Adjustment Issues, Behavioral Challenges, Anxiety and Depression, Grief and Loss, Attachment Issues, Adoption and Blended Family Issues and Child Trauma.
